Debbie grew up in Maryland and attended Drexel University in Philadelphia. After graduation, she moved to New York to and worked as a buyer for a corporate buying office with department stores throughout the South and Midwest. While she expected to travel further up the East Coast to Boston, in 1979, one of her vendors offered her a job. So instead of moving to Boston, Debbie took a left-hand turn and came to Little Rock. She believes this was the best move of her life: “Little Rock is one of the most beautiful areas of the country with some of the friendliest people you’ll find anywhere.”
After a temporary retirement to care for a family member, Debbie got her real estate license and joined the Jon Underhill Real Estate firm. She enjoys working with buyers, particularly those who are buying their first home and need someone to guide them through the intricacies of the buying process. Sellers appreciate her help in preparing their property to sell quickly, whether recommending physical changes to a home or researching the market so that their house is priced correctly from the beginning.
For the last 30 years, Debbie has spent most of her free time volunteering in the Little Rock community. She ran a soup kitchen downtown for 19 years, facilitated support groups and organized fundraising projects for Alzheimer’s Arkansas, and is currently the coordinator of the cat program for the Little Rock Animal Village.
